I've made a start on this weeks, but I'm struggling. Bycounting across the rows, you can work out that some of the squares allready filled in must belong to say,a four or a five block, but I'm stuck at the moment. I'll have another try in the pub tonight and let you know!

Just finishing it off now. I hope I explain this clearly, but after you've filled in everything that is obvious, you can tell that the gaps between some columns must contain a dot, because the solid block won't fit. Also, to get started, if you count left and right, there are some filled in squares that must logically belong to something, i.e., one square must be part of , say, a two block. This allows you to fill in another square either left or right of it (you usually have to count again). I had to do this 6 or seven times, and eventually I got going on the bottom right. As the other person said, and I assume this is going to happen to me, it has got reasonably straitforward now.
