the doctor may not (probably does not) know that the hospital has told you they were fine. He/she will just get the print out with no notes about what you were told.
let us know ...

i hope your right woofgang, its made me feel a wee bit better reading that
kate, it may well not be anything important, a wee bit of fresh air and try to relax. :)
What were the tests for? Agree with woofgang tho
Looks to me as if they are looking after you kate. Do everything they tell you, I am sure it is all for the best.

post just arrived, there is a letter stating blood tests i got taken in march show a 'relatively high inflammatory marker'(what does that mean)
SQAD where are you ???
Question Author
does it mean i have an infection somewhere???
Just off to the club, so only a quick response.

Depends upon the nature of the marker which is a non specific non diagnostic investigation.

It can either be an indication of your predisposition to strokes or heart attacks OR the presence or success of treatment to an underlying disease.e.g rheumatoid arthritis.

With only that information that is the only answer that i can offer.

Off to my Club now.
I think it means some kind of infection is present and your body is reacting..but..wait for Sqad...
Would it not just be best to wait the short time to speak to your Doc and get a definite answer rather then people here taking educated guesses.
Hope everythings ok kate xx
i agree with EB,
slinky.....back on AB now.

Keep us informed.
My, that was a quick trip to the club! I'd have put you down as missing for at least four hours!

This link will tell you all about inflammatory markers.

Good luck slinky.kate let us know how your doing.

Mike......no a swim, a few olives, cup of coffee, a few laughs with the guys and that is my lot.
I see, Sqad. Your club is obviously different from mine, where one is not allowed to leave until after at least four large G and Ts.
Lochness........I stand to be corrected, but I think that that is an American link that deals solely with C- reactive protein and deosnt mention ESR which is the marker used in the UK and slinky I think lives in the UK.

I stand to be corrected.
