Lincoln (as in linking) just a thought ??
Not sure why a lot of questions recently posted seem to be duplicated at the time of posting.

thanks furrypusscat. not sure that this is the right answer tho. One of the other clues was .. Not top rated ships equipment.(5) Answer was Brigg. B rated equipment and ships rigg, so the answers seem to make the correct name.
More than likely not. Couldn't see anything else though. I will keep looking. Good luck.
furry, some ABers can't see their post the first time they send it (not sure if it's a browser problem) so they send it again.
I wondered as it seems to be happening a lot lately. I know there can be a slight time delay in posting and it appearing, so you could be right.
Nibble, the other post is a longer question, albeit the same, so a deliberate duplication

thanks quinie, yes, lincoln seems about the best of the bunch up to yet, but just doesnt seem 100 per cent to me. Have had suggestion of Hemswell but thats 8 letters so have ruled that out. Still racking the old grey matter!!

I think Quinie's explanation is spot on - 'On' = in a continuous or persistent way as in dictionary.
Question Author
ah yes, I see it now, of course, its down to the pronunciation of Lincoln, Thats fantastic, thank you all very much for your help.
