Completely stuck on this today, could be somewhere like Rabat or Marrakesh ....
"want an intriguing taste of Africa? You'll find it in this capital city if you look for a drop of gold in the shadow of a sacred site. It draws in creative talent from across the continent ... but the mix of cultures tests the fabric of society. T he racial tensions, and occasional violent hatred, was caught memorably on film. Name the city"
The four pictures are:
a) two singers, a man and a women in national dress
b) a photo of some terracotta tagines
c) some floor tiling in a gold & brown design
d) a green grocers shop with a guy standing outside writing in a book.
Hope you can help, many thanks, Chox.

The "drop of gold" is La Goutte d'Or which is an area in the 18th arrondissment of Paris which has a high proportion of immigrants from a variety of North African countries and where you will get a "taste of Africa". It is close to Montmartre and the basilica of Sacré Cœur (the "sacred site"). The muscians are Amadou and Mariam from Mali. The clay pots are tagines from Morocco, the ones in the picture are from Marrakesch. The strange pattern is a fabric - mud cloth - from Mali. The vegetable shop could be anywhere, but I think the gentleman in blue is a Paris traffic warden.
