Hi smurf have put Slow as a donkey for 44 but like you finding it difficult to answer 10 & 23 as Let sleeping dogs lie would fit both clues & I can't find anything else appropriate.

44. I found slow as a turtle on one of the websites so im going for that(with fingers crossed!)
