Been staring at these last 2 for days! 26A Individuals backing educated girl, young lady M-N-R-T-. Looks like minority, but can't see why! 35D Hot pipe's about to roll around S-E-T-R-N-. Must be sweltering, but can't get the word play. Any explanation appreciated, want to get this one finished before I trot down to the newsagent for Jumbo 997!

Thanks sandyRoe, don't know what I was doing putting muggiest instead of soggiest! Makes sense now, I was looking for it to end in Rita.

I no longer do the Times Jumbo as the price of the paper (most of which ends up in the bin unread) is exorbitant. However I am saving up to buy it in three week's time when I hope that Jumbo 1000 will be something special.
