MM Links September 2012 Week 4

Here is week four's introduction from 'King Fordward'.
Now we are into week 4 and Gen 2 is doing the needful once again, thank you.
Well, while you were troubling yourselves with week 3, I was on my annual visit to the RAF Leuchars Air Show with my good lady and my brother and family. We had our tickets booked way in advance for the veteran’s enclosure. We set off at 8am and went straight there without a hitch, nice cuppie and a bacon roll on arrival to start the day. With name tags in place and complimentary program under arm it was off to the static display.
There was a nice array of planes to view including VC10, Sentinel, E-3D Sentry and B52 to name but a few. Viewing these was interrupted by air displays from the Typhoons, Red Arrows, The Blades, Vulcan, and the Norwegian Historical Flight. We had Lunch, and tea and cakes in the afternoon all provided in the veterans tent. All in all a great day, one wonders if we will have another with the closure of RAF Leauchars on the cards!!
I shall say no more on that subject , on with the game

No best answer has yet been selected by gen2. Once a best answer has been selected, it will be shown here.
For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.According to normal practice, for the everyday running of MM, I shall follow this rule on word length, in that each of my pre-selected link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts!
Each of the selected link words may go in front of, or behind my challenge word To make a new longer word or to make a well-known phrase or saying. The combination will never be a person's name.
The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm, when gen2 will declare my pre-selected words and then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past. My set of four words to have their links predicted should appear below at 9.00am.
