there is firstly a speech bubble coming from charles saying "i,ve got poltergeists"

then there is a speech bubble coming from banquo saying "is there a discount for buying in bulk?"
to the right of this is a speech bubble coming from casper saying"go on then, buy two and you can have the third free"
lastly banquo says "you're on!"

again the answer is anything to do with christmas, thanks

For goodness sake! I just received this quiz yesterday. Over TWO MONTHS to figure it out. Why did you send for it?

hi, spotty dog, i have answered them all except three of which this is one. i don.t know about you but i get to the point that when you are just needing two or three however much you try you just know you won,t get them because you have the same train of thought all the time and you need help from someone who thinks differently than you and the people on this site are usually very good at that. now i could stare at these last three until the cows come home but i choose to ask for help and that is my choice. i wish you well in yours answers but i think you might need a bit of help sooner rather than later, i have no help from anyone else except here and i have been doing these dingbats for eleven years and i always get stuck on two or three. ps when i saw one answer i thought someone had worked this dingbat out, i hope someone does, i have thought of the ghost of christmas present but it does not really explain the dingbat in full. best, hops
Look back Spotty dog Hops always asks the hospice dingbats quiz before the ink is really dry - no idea why
I'm not sure you need to explain hops- this is a Q&A site after all, although if the quiz organiser has asked for questions not to be posted on here before a certain date then maybe that would change things

i know mike the compiler of these dingbats and he has not asked that . people like smouse seem to think they own the site and everyone on it has to fall into line, well tough, it's a pity they have nothing better to do. you are right factor 30 i do not need to explain but i felt that spotty dog deserved a reply to his question. one day smouse you might come up with a well thought out answer instead of sarcastic references but i won't hold my breath.
I couldn't believe my luck when I found this site. I totally agree with hops. I'm doing a dingbat quiz and I get obsessed with them. Two months to the closing date or not, I don't want to spend Christmas and the new year wracking my brains and bothering my friends instead of enjoying the time. These things are supposed to be FUN so let's all help ech other.

thanks of10stuck, all you said is precisely it and let's face it,anyone who does not want any help yet, well they needn't look at anything that,s under my name, i wonder why they do look!, best hops.
Hello again Hops. I've now got hold of the quiz you were doing. No WONDER you were stuck! I can't do TEN of them - including the one you asked about. The tarts/pies? looks too complicated to figure out specifically what the answer could be ......as do the films, cakes AND the Bells. Oh dear, perhaps dingbats aren't for me or maybe I don't have the mindset for this compiler. Did you eventually work out what the ghosts were on about?
Question Author
i see that you are living up to your name if you are stuck on ten!
no, can't figure this ghost dingbat out at all, that's what i meant earlier, you need people to help who have a different thought process than you're own or you could eventually go round the twist. the nearest i can get is that charles refers to charles dickens and the ghosts are therefore something out of 'a christmas carol' and then i hit a brick wall, i'll keep trying, best regards, hops
I hope this helps. I think it's 3 ghost stories by charles dickens
Question Author
it's a decent enough answer legolassie, but it does not really explain the dialogue that is going on between the ghosts, i think the answer is something to do with that, have you found an answer for no.40, the one where we have eleven types of tart on top of each other, i'm flummoxed, best, hops.
