Re this quiz, I am DESPERATE to know if No 43 is definitely in the right order but wouldn't risk asking even that cos we aren't supposed to ask for clues till next week so ...... is 43 in the right order?

according to my sheet we are asked not to post questions or answers on public websites. This is a good quiz for an excellent cause. I think the setter's wishes should be respected.
And before anyone says - I know this is an answer site and no one has to look!!

If this is the MacMillan Autumn Quiz, then there are a couple of corrections.
no 29 should be no 30, no 30 should be no 31 and no 31 should be no 29
No 34 should be no 42 and no 34 should be be no 42
Does that help ?

I believe so Kustard. I emailed him this pm and he sent me an updated sheet as I queried 34 and 42 if they were in the right order and the sheet said same as mine. 29 and 31 were in wrong order originally.
I have 43 as Romeo leaves there ---
Have not done this one yet - have about 3 or 4 to do.

Sorry, I do not think I have made myself clear.
Richard sent me an email containing this message on 6th Nov.

" Q31. A third of school outings include yob for trouble! (8,3,4) should be placed as Q29, and Q34 He bit both badly. (3,6) should be placed as Q42."

It is difficult to explain I agree ladyalex. I have a copy which is incorrect for 29 and 31 but correct for 42. He bit both badly. Strange! So have realised that my 34 and 42 are in correct order and I have been trying to reverse them. As I said all sorted for me by Richard email this pm. Am still working on answer.

Thanks for all your replies. Glad I wasn't the only one who was confused. I've got all the answers except 43 which has been driving me mental for days. Roll on 7th when the answers come out then I CAN SLEEP!!
PS I think Richard's quizes are THE BEST! He is an extremely clever man. His proof reader died a short while ago so it will probably take the new one a couple of quizes to get into his stride.

I still have 14 to do and am completely foxed by them. These answers have persuaded me not to bother to send in mine because I can see I don't stand a chance. It will be a miracle if I managed to complete before the closing date.

Unfortunately, that does not fit alphabetically for me...assuming that I have got the order correct now...

Sorry but it isn't the Deer Hunter. It's got to be (2nd word) somewhere between H and L. I've got a very dubious answer and given up now. Posted it off this morning. Thanks all x

And you WERE trying to help Starbuckone and it was appreciated. I replied to your FAO as well if you haven't looked. It WAS a difficult quiz - a couple of the answers just came into my head as if someone had told me them but they obviously didn't know 43!!
