Another great set of challenges from 'Queen Christiana' to round off the month

First of course a big thank you to Christiana for setting the links this month and keeping you all entertained.
Find out below who earned what and who will be invited to be setter for February.

Scoring was almost as high as last weekend thanks to a couple of the links in particular. They allowed you to earn 37 points between you.

The first two players both opted for the same DRAGON link and so cried SNAP - 2 points each for roslyn251254 and tearinghair

The most poular pairing all weekend was HEAT WAVE. I wonder whether that was prompted by the recent snowy weather? Tearinghair was in there first with cupid04 and kawakiri also in time for bonus points.

The remaining links proved far less popular but nevertheless, both were discovered within the first three minutes of play.

Strix was first with MOUNTAIN LION and Grannydi was first with PRISON VISIT(OR)


There were seven double-hitters this week and so I will choose the hotshot from one of those.

Kawakiri for the next month

A very sensible decision, if I might say so!

Thank you gen2 and Queen Christiana, I am so pleased to have managed some points this month as they have been few and far between recently. I even thought about packing it in - very glad I didn't.. It's a bit like golf. you play badly for some time then have a cracking round and get inspired again!.

I look forward to kawakiri's selection next week.

The moment I opened Kawakiri's email, the power to half the town was cut off.
I wonder what has secret ingredient was?

As you will realise, power has been restored and a reply has now been sent.

I must be getting old because when the power failed, I switched on my laptop expecting to pick up where I left off but of course I forgot that the router is powered by the mains and so i couldn't connect to the internet.

Congratulations on being the next setter, Kawakiri - sounds like we might get some fireworks next month - or a total blackout! I fear, Gen2, that I might easily have done the same, re. connecting to the internet.
