I think it's Tirls quinie
Tirls = strips, SLR followed by IT, reversed.
SLR = Self-loading rifle in Chambers
tirls

is a scottish word for 'strips' but the wordplay eludes me at the moment
Hi quinie, they don't half come up with some obscure scottish words which I have never heard of birls yes-tirls never, but that seems to be right.

Many thanks to you all. It certainly had me puzzled-never heard the word tirl meaning to strip. When I saw "aberdonian" I thought ah easy lol.Just goes to show we never stop learning. vakayu,I too thought it had something to do with "in a spin" -birl. Thanks again, everyone.
Shame Lashley wouldn't answer you earlier....but no surprise...she has never given an answer to anyone!
