How're we doing smouse?  I know you said thanks (much appreciated) but how about some stars or feedback - it's nice to know if we're vaguely in the right mindset!!

The cupola one has got to have 'roof' or 'dome' in there somewhere, but I can't think of a famous shiny roof apart from the one in Innsbruk.

Sorry Ipek you all deserve stars. I had got dome but couldnt get anything else but have now seen there is a dome of the rock in Jerusalem and it looks shiny to me and goes with the gem

Happy with Pompeii I think I needed a rest I was on the lines of an anagram and Frankie Vaughan or Frank Sinatra

Maybe I am thick but confused by angel of the north and the south of the border bit

so that leaves me with

Well smouse here's a suggestion from a colleague of mine (you can tell it's Friday afternoon, can't you!!)....

real ham brand = Alhambra, as in palace in Granada

.....no idea where the spam fits in though - over to you!!
