Morning all, last 2 before I can start on yesterday's!
36A Woman regarded as character in Israel, I have _E_H. Is it LEAH or BETH? Or RESH is an Israeli letter, but I can't get any of these to fit the clue!
40A Vague, like a Times two clue: "Sick; only with difficulty"? 3-7, I have I_L-_E_I_E_ so I think it must be ILL-DEFINED which is vague, and sick is ill, but why patronise our Times two colleagues? And why 'only with difficulty', not to mention the apparently excessive punctuation!
My furry slippers are on ready to kick myself when you kind people inevitably give me the 'DOH!' moment!!

I suppose Beth is an alternative spelling for (the more usual?) Bet, and I'm not keen on 'only with difficulty' as a definition for ill-defined. Oh well, back to the Grand Prix before seeing what I can find to grumble about in yesterday's!!
