23d W-edge-S
23d. Wedges [W edge S]
20d Dusk?
20d. Not sure about this one yet. Have used 'Dump' but don't rely on it!
Hi Captain 2. Just wondering about 'Dusk' and how you arrived at it from the clue.
Not sure yet fuzzy-brain - hence the?
Ah there is a breed of antelopes called KUDUS
So drop the you = KUDS and stampede (mix) it = DUSK = evening
I don't think Dusk is correct. The 'S' doesn't fit the clue whose answer it would have to be used in.

thank you all
very grateful
I don't have the magazine so will go along with you there fuzzy-brain
The clue i'm referring to is: Reputedly Holst's favourite movement from his Suite, in E, is morose and gloomy. (9) _ _ T _ _ _ I _ E. The 'S' would be the 1st letter in the answer.

However, I will try the 'S' again.
My apologies, Captain 2. You are correct. I'm sure the answer to the Holst clue is 'Saturnine' (after his 'Planets').
Saturnine?
Sorry just been for a top up on the wine...nice one fuzzy!
