breadbasket is a slang term for the stomach
7D Saltier (anagram of retails)
20D Unraced?
19A Sauce?
6D Reabsorbs (Anagram of sober bars)
Breadbasket is correct.Slang term for the tum! You would put bread in a basket.
I am hopeless at cryptic clues but could 7D be SALTIER, the anagram for retails. If this is incorrect..sorry!
I think 16A could be Catch crop.
Did you never have the board game Operation mazzyk! you had to remove a loaf from the stomach !........Here goes the funny bone buzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!
could be later crop?

Ok, guys and gals...

Breadbasket, reabsorbs, saltier, unraced and sauce all fit wonderfully - thank you very much!

But 16D now looks like A-T-R/-R-P - it must be crop, perhaps After Crop? The A at the beginning is from Breadbasket. The R (5th letter) is from Reabsorbs...

I can only vaguely remember Operation! I wondered why there was a loaf of bread in there, joceygold!

It is After-crop
