Think I've finished, but would appreciate some explanation of a couple:

10 ac - Mother bears carry skinned relation (9). I have N_R_A_I_E and thought the answer could be 'NARRATIVE' ... thinking it might have something to do with relation as in story-telling. But I'm uneasy. Where does mother come into play? Am I barking up the wrong tree here?

25 dn - Melba toast? (5). I see BRAVE is suggested, but not sure why.

10a. carry skinned = c(arr)y inside 'native'.
brava= a shout/toast given to female opera singers such as Melba
