Let's hope they are as understanding as in past weeks and accept both,sam if you have some spare time on your hands you could volunteer to compile the crosswords and maybe then it would not be so ambiguous :o)

Sam it could not be any worse than it is already a spelling error or two is forgiveable but they have double meanings and spellings on a regular basis,you would think they would be fed up by now.

katburd I do not do the Sunday Mail crosswords but as the Record and it are sister papers I don't know if it is the same compiler,I doubt it.

ah good we are back, just to update you, I phoned this morning 9.30am didn't get a reply until 3.15ish by that time the site was down, anyway they will accept HAHA/ HOHO and CIPHER/CYPHER.
