I seem to remember Swindle being synonymous with floodlight failure. Funnily enough, when they were losing. AND taking full advantage of the rules when they ensured that the lights briefly came back on for the second half....thus ensuring that fans weren't entitled to their money back. So when John Aldridge tots up his career goals....there are two missing from that match. In answer to the question; was it a part share in Lou Macari's dubious winnings? (and yes, I do know that Hoddle was the manager when Swindle turned their lights off)
Is "Swindle" the generally accepted nick name for Swindon - or did you make it up yorself, Birchy?
