Hi, hust wondering (and sorry if I am out of order in doing so here) but would anyone be interested in setting up a sort of mailing list for Quizmail regulars (something via yahoogroups or similar) so we could have discussions etc, regarding the ongoing quiz (without actually giving away the answers) - this could then be done via e-mail?I would have no problem in setting up such a group and adding interested parties, but just wanted to gauge anyones views? Please ignore this if you think its a bad idea - alternatively if you would be keen let me know.

alunrw       I think a discussion group would be a good idea, two heads are better than one ( even if one is a fish head ). Consider me onboard.      Muleminder

I would be willing to give it a try
Idea sounds good to me.
I specially like the phrase " without actually giving away the answers "
count me in
I think this is a great idea - count me in. Stephanie
Yep I would be on for that
so what is quizmail and how do I get involved?
This is the quizmail I used to do before our team sadly disbanded due to some of us moving etc.

Run by Vic and Dave Stedman,in Hitchin Herts.
This is a bad and totally invidious idea which goes against all the hard work that Vic and Dave put into Quizmail. Don't you read their commentary on the quiz every month? They are constantly bemoaning websites like these and, due to an online 'debate' a month or two ago, it's used far less: more people seem to be buckling down and doing the work for themselves rather than relying on others. And asking people to ignore your post if they disagree is the funniest thing I've read in ages.
Dear Quizmonkey - people are still using this site, among others, but they are now not using the word 'quizmail' in their question.
Why is asking for clues or help on here any diferent from asking a friend. Some teams consist of 1 person, other teams have many members.
We all do whatever we feel happy with.

Quizmonkey, fair enough I take on board your comments - actually i thoroughly appreciate the amount of work that Vic and Dave put into this but I also appreciate the amount of work that the participants put into it also( I know for a fact that i sweat blood, enjoyably so and its nice to get there in the end)
Glad my comments made you laugh, anyway, at least I can cheer someone up - as it happens I have no hidden agenda here, just like the odd pleasant banter with like minded people .Im also just glad that I'm not easily offended because your last lime is possibly meant offensively - but there you go ! :-)
Have fun

By the way do you actually do the Quizmail yourself ??

if you do - good luck next month :-))
Great idea alunrw. Have tried to sign in to yahoo but after trying to verify my password it says I have been sent an email, but not received yet, so I can't log in. I'll keep trying so hope to join in the banter soon.

[email protected]

Cheers
