On 14 April 1912, four days into the crossing and about 375 miles (604 km) south of Newfoundland, she hit an iceberg at 11:40 pm ship's time.

thanks Tilly2 it was the s.ton (southampton) and 3 prop that got me thinking
It was the prop bit that made me think it was to do with rugby. (I didn't see the 3 until you just pointed it out!)
