Dear quizzers I am the quiz setter and have expressly asked that no clues or answers be asked after a previous quiz of mine was ruined by a small number of people.
Over the years I have built up a strong following thus my reason for making this request.
I know this is a Q and A site but it is also a place for fellow quizzers to see quizzes advertised and for them to decide if they like the topic and would like to purchase a copy.
I can give you 7 and 9. 7 is a place in USA to do with Lenny Kravitz. 9 is fairly easy - literal translation of Bay and Base. If you follow the coastline on a map it's after Lowestoft. I feel giving clues is fine. I don't see how this "spoils it for others". If you don't want to see clues/answers then don't come on here, it's that simple! I myself am stuck on one which is number 30 Confused drink with this cricketer 11 letters. Clue only please, thanks
I've got no 30 now, thanks. And yes the quiz setter is entitled to her opinion but I'm also allowed mine. Just because she sets the quiz she can't tell people what to do, although she can, of course, ask. We pay for the quiz to help a charity and do so gladly but everyone has different ways of completing them. Some people just need more help than others and that's what this site is for. Sorry, if I've upset anyone.
Further to previous points of view, I dont see anything wrong with providing clues to help others. Surely, the more people who complete the quiz, the more who will return their entries and entry fees, and the more the charity will benefit. I thought that was the point?
