"The indefinite article belongs to me". Can only find ANNAN but that doesn't seem correct. No other clues.

Thank you so much. One final clue that still escapes me:

"Short doctor mixed with a part of some cows". Grateful for help on that one too.
I so want to suggest Dumfries. As in Fresian cows. however, I will hide away until someone else comes up with something.
Mo scow.......a hamlet in scotland
Brilliant,tommy.toon.I was thinking about part of a breed of cows. Can get to bed now!

Would Moscow not be "Short doctor attached to a part of some cows"? I thought "mixed" indicated it had to be an anagram of Dr or Mo with some letters from "some cows". Have found Red Moss but not sure if that's an inhabited part of Scotland as required by quiz!
You've got a point there,spero-looks as if it should be an anagram and why "some cows"?
Eureka-I think.Dornoch? -an anagram of doc (small doctor) and horn (some cows have horns, some haven't)
quinie pulls it off...again! Well done.
Quinie is amazing
Why do cows wear bells round their necks?
Because their horns don't work.

A1 as usual quinie :-)
Great answer quinie xxx
