Roz has posted this on another thread:

"This clue is part of a word spiral, with the last letter of one clue forming the first letter of the next. The previous clue was Irish Republic (4 letters - I put Eire) and the following clue is Decree (5 letters - I put Edict). So the answer Black didn't make sense to me. Any ideas please? Many thanks in advance."
