Good Morning everyone. Lady Eleanor here, inviting you all to take part in the Final Links Challenge of 2013. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and are having a well-deserved rest before the New Year celebrations begin.
What a year it has been weather-wise! After the snow in early Spring we had a glorious Summer and Autumn and now we have an unseasonably mild winter. I suppose the only blip has been the stormy weather and rain which has led to flooding in places. In the garden the snowdrop and crocus shoots are already popping up their little heads. The ‘shortest’ day of the year has passed and we look forward to a gradual increase in daylight.
My term in the hot-seat has been really enjoyable. It has been interesting to see the wide range of words that you have conjured up, some of which never occurred to me. I can’t believe how low the scores were last week! I will try hard to remedy this for my final challenge, so please keep guessing.
I’d like to thank Gen2 for his help and guidance throughout the month and especially for posting the links for me on week 2 and today .When you read this I will be off on a post-Christmas ramble followed by mulled wine and mince pies! Good luck to the new setter. I look forward to guessing your links.
I’ll finish off now by wishing you all a Happy New year in Gaelic.
Athbhliain faoi mhaise daoibh go leir!
Thanks Lady E and Gen2, and good afternoon all. At least the sun is shining here in Kent today, although I had to go near to Yalding on Friday morning where some residents were both flooded out and had no electricity until yesterday! I'll try:
