How do you fit six words into five rows?
Question Author
I give up lol! it comes out ok until I submit it , must be something to do with font size?
Sorry cupid.
I still don't understand it. Are you happy with the layout shown in your last 2 posts or are you struggling to reformat it
Why can't you just put asterisks or Xs to show the spaces in RDP and TDY.
If the P or Y are in the 5th column maybe we can make a diagonal word of 5 letters
Question Author
I'm struggling to reformat it. When I type it, it's okay until I submit it, lol!
I'll wait for the answers in tomorrows paper unless some bright spark can help me out. Or the daily mail has made a mistake? Happy new year to you all, thanks for trying to help a confused cupid04. xx
Can you tell us in words which bit of the formatting on here is wrong. Is it the top and bottom row?
I wonder if it's like this
X R D P X
C Z Z Z D
A Z Z Z S
S Z Z Z S
X T D Y X

*RDP*
C***D
A***S
S***S
*TDY*

five-letter words beginning with 'c', 'a', 's' - across
and five letter words beginning with 'r', 'd' and 'p' reading down.
Sorry, I've been away.
Thanks for clarifying the layout.
As here are 13 asterisks but only 9 letters in yearbooks I assume then that we ignore the 4 corner asterisks and have to replace the 9 in the middle

Cored
Abyss
Soaks
robot, pesky
Dryad
But that leaves DRYAD for the 6th word so we have slipped up
crossed posts, scorpiojo. Is dryad a word then?
A tree nymph. Never heard it before
Question Author
Thank you all for your help. I did get them in the end, honest!
