It is according to Guinness World Records
not JFK ?

just looked it up and it said kennedys murder was shown from a video
Or is it because JFK wasn't pronounced dead until he got to the hospital?
I would have said JFK but i remember reading somewhere that the actual motorcade in which the President was travelling was not, at that moment, being transmitted live. It was to be used as a recording in a later news bulletin. The film we have all seen of JFK's head exploding came from a hand held camera operated by Abraham Zapruder.

The footage of Jack Ruby shooting Oswald was, however, broadcast live.
Some more firsts and all nasty ones.
