Mm Links Results March 2014 Week 1

The game has now closed and many of you will be pleased to learn that the 'Good King John II' (aka rockfordill) chose the following links:

MAPLE LEAF (17)
ICE BREAKER (1)
BIRD BATH . (1)
STAMP DUTY (14)

Two were very popular and two were very elusive.
Details follow below.

Beejay1124 got the scoring started with STAMP DUTY (2 points). Grannydi, Middlestump and Brenden were in time for a bonus here too.

There were two fairly obvious choices to go with MAPLE and players were about evenly split between them. Three 'Syrups' slipped by before Grannydi chose the MAPLE LEAF along with Middlestump, Strix & Brenden for 2 points each. The Ontices both opted for LEAF - of course

Already three double-hitters with full bonuses! It is going to be hard to pick a hotshot from them.

It was over an hour into the game before the party really got underway. All it needed was an ICE BREAKER from Elspeth. No further players chose this link.

It was not until over 12 hours later that the final pairing of BIRD BATH was found by relatively newcomer: Roopower. No later players chose this link either.

Both Elspeth and Roopower also picked up a single on one of the popular links making them double-hitters too.

Again, hard to choose between them.

I'm going to chicken out and declare joint Hotshots for finding those final two elusive links:
