23A Where striker finds an opening? (9) _O_L_O_T_

I'm torn between 'goalmouth' and 'goalposts'. Does anyone have a view on which answer is most suitable, or is it a 50/50 toss-a-coin situation?

Thanks in advance. :)

I would go for Goalmouth.
It HAS to be goalmouth - an opening is a mouth; posts has nothing to do with an opening.
Agree with Valerie  -  'Mouth' is an opening, whereas 'Posts' are obstacles.
i would think Goalmouth ..... Mouth being the opening
All think alike

Fits in with the rest of the crossword too. Mouth it is.

Heavens - one completed.

Thanks so much for your responses. :)

I favoured 'goalmouth' too, but I was a little unsure due to the fact that, according to the OED, it's hyphenated, ie 'goal-mouth'.
