What no questions on this? I'm finding it harder than usual. Just don't seem to be attuned to it today.

no today was pretty easy - last week I struggled though! It deptends on the setter and how you tune in I think!

Murielmci, good for you! Finally got tuned in last night and done most but two are annoying me -

8d Unusually appealing for the present.(9) - I assumed it was an anagram of appealing but the letters don't seem to work out (assuming 6ac is ROWELS and 12ac is BRIDESMAID.

16ac Crib cover without a blanket in the middle (4). Is it CORE?

I got 27ac as BOTTOM (backwards MOB around OTT?) but don't understand the Quark's flavour - I know that Quark is a curd cheese as well as a particle.

Can you elucidate?

lagniappe - you were on the right tracks and the other one is copy - canopy without the an.

Your turn to help next week.

It is the particle type of quark and there are 6 types including bottom.
Question Author

Thanks, Ligniappe wasn't in my dictionary - must get a better one. Should have looked up the particle quarks. It was the flavour that made me think of the cheese.

Thanks again.
