oh I am sorry, new here
It is a seven letter word. I've spent about an hour checking. The quiz wants to know what "line" in UK is called in USA. Thing is, what do they mean by line in the first place :-) I've thought of circuit, railway, ??? Thanks
Following on from Svejk, "line" in English can come from the French "ligne" which is a unit of measurement equal to about 1/12 of an inch, and is used in watch-making. But I don't think that the puzzle is going to be that esoteric:)
Oh thanks everyone. I agree: what does the quiz mean by "line" in the first place? Not really a fair question is it? (I am in Canada but born in UK) yeah!
oh right, I will try and find out the theme to the quiz
its 100 questions and my sister in law only needs one answer
anyway, takes my mind off looking out at the snow!
