Mm Links April 2014 Week 3

'Lady Jill' (aka tearinghair) here again, wearing (I hope) a more generous hat this week.
Seeing my grandsons only every couple of years means that I’m not so aware as many of you of what a surprise they can be. Both are fascinated by interesting facts, and were keen to pass on odd information such as ‘you can eat scorpions, they’re best roasted’, ‘some bees are green’, and ‘the king cobra can growl’. Certainly they enjoy Wii games too, but a visit to the library was a high spot of Sunday (!) afternoon.
Their TV viewing was limited (by their parents), but it was good to see that as well as the inevitable cartoon channels there were some excellent factual programmes, including one called ‘How it’s made’ which does exactly what it says in the title and held both boys enthralled every day.
