took delivery of a resin garden table, effed about with it trying to put it together, four legs and a middle bit, plus the table top, how hard can that be, before concluding none of the parts do fit together, its back in the box waiting to be collected, which undoubtedly will be more days wasted.

Calling at M & S on the way home to get a salad to accompany the steak that I am cooking for tea for the present Mrs Hughes.

At 10:00 tonight, I have a phone interview with a jazz bassist for jazz Journal, and before that I have to prepare for a phone interview tomorrow with Mary Chapin Carpenter, and afer that, if there is time, I have to do e-mail questions for a band called Devil Makes Three.

Considering that music magazine writing is supposed to be my 'hobby', it's getting pretty darned busy just lately!!
