The Shrubbery

It's hot and sticky in the shrubbery this evening, with not many people about. There are noticeably fewer bees - too many chemicals? - and no penguins at all!

It'll be a sad day tomorrow, but at least we can all have a lie-in.

Just been watching the football (Brazil v. Colombia) and it's half time.
Can't stand listening to the pundits, especially these on ITV.
Like your comment about no penguins at all.
Yes, sad there is no more MM but we still have the KM.... and have a lie-in

Hi guys, I was hoping there might be one or two lurkers... It feels very strange without the penguin patrolling the Shrubbery with his camera !

Think there may be a few tennis balls lurking under the bushes. In a couple of weeks' time they'll be joined by golf balls which have flown wide off the tee. Much better than football, I'd say!

This football is wearing me out, perhaps you're right tearinghair, must start watching golf instead.

The shrubbery is far too quiet - no revellers, no charabanc and no strange men lurking about in outlandish disguises. Will it ever see a return to former glories? I fear not.

So sad that the MM links have finished :(. I forgot and just came on here to "do" my words. Doing the links but mainly visiting the Shrubbery has led to me making so really good friends so it's not all bad, but will miss my Saturday mornings. I had so many laughs when the Shrubbery was at it's height with bus trips, picnics and "cunning plans" best wishes to all MM linkers and thanks Gen and Teacher for the time you put into the game xxxx
