Daily Telegraph Prize Crossword Herculis...

Bored on the Bank Holiday I was flicking through the channels and came across one with a phone in quiz. Seems to be loads of them cropping up
Here it is.
Number of men in a mixed doubles tennis match
Number of dots on a double 2 domino
Number of nostrils on eleven donkeys
Number left when you take away 19 percent from 100
Number of vowels in this phrase - "lightening never strikes twice"
Add the numbers. Now I thought I had it (I was nowhere near)..and some of the answers I heard being rung in were very strange. (Minus 44 for example). But as fate would have it before I went to bed I flicked back and it had just been solved, a nice 2000 winner. So I open it to the board, post your answers, and see if you get it

And no I still cant explain how the answer which I shall reveal soon was got
I got 260
Number of men in a mixed doubles is 2
Number of dots on a double 2 domino is 4 (also add the 2 in the question)
Number of nostrils on eleven donkeys (22 and the 11 in the question)
Number of vowels in the phrase "lightening never strikes twice" 9 vowels and ten from the word lighTENing
And 19 percent taken away from 100 - 81 (and the 19 and 100 from the question)
All adds up to 260. And that is way too low
