Please can you explain your connection at the end of 26.

They were using N.E. as the shortened word for Netherlands., whereas the International number plate for Netherlands should be N,L. A mistake on the compiler we think.

in Holland = ne, but I think that a mistake has been made. The compiler erroneously assumed that NE stood, in some way, for Holland. The international vehicle plate for the Netherlands (to give Holland its proper name) is NL, which does not fit the clue. I await someone who can enlighten me.
