NB. I allowed ½ mark where I considered it appropriate e.g. Qu 9 although a good majority got correct many entered Runcorn which I didn’t feel warranted the full mark as ‘corn’ is not something you would eat in its raw state or in a recipe but you would have sweetcorn, peppercorn, corn on the cob, cornflakes etc. Similarly, Qu 53 ten people had put Maplebeck again you would have Maple Syrup/Sugar but not Maple in its raw state.
On behalf of Buxton Mountain Rescue Team, I would like to thank everyone for their support and hope you will continue by buying Quiz 9 which is available now. Total sales plus many extra donations which included the cash prize generously handed back by David Winfield the winner of the previous quiz totalled £279 and now makes an overall amount raised for the team of £1633.
Thank you also for your Christmas good wishes and lovely comments which make it all the more worthwhile carrying on.
