Good morning everyone - good start to the day here with someone taking out a stogie pole just down the road and the power with it, so I've resorted to the iPad which has its uses .....
Sorry about any confusion over on the clues post, luckily twix sorted me out so we have -
FOUR
OFFER
THIRTY
JACKET
As always everyone is very welcome to join in - just post your entry before midnight Sunday, then do remember to check back Monday morning for the results....you may get a very pleasant surprise !!
Last week was an excellent beginning for the New Year, with lots of points going out, hopefully this week will be likewise, so Good Luck to everyone and we'll get underway.....
and very nasty if you happen to run into one, boxy !! yes it all got a bit confusing as a 'stogie' as I understand it, is yankee speak for a cigar !!
my version is a socking great lump of concrete with an rsj on either side and very unforgiving if you hit one....it took most of the day to get the power back on and our tongues were hanging out for a cuppa !! :))
Cheers steff - my only experience of the word "stogie" is from "King of the Road" (I smoke old stogies I have found) - I couldn't picture you doing that, LOL!
