I'm obviously not well up on anything to do with the police or the law!! Can anyone help with 19 down, slang word for the district covered by a police station, m---r, and 27 down the territory under the jurisdiction of a particular court, s--e. Many thanks!

Thanks Fergol, glad you're a night owl like me! I'm also stuck on 37 down, lowest pitched bell of a peal, then I'll have finished and will go to bed!
Google search with "lowest pitched bell of a peal" comes up with one possible answer first hit - tenor

Sorry janbrix, I went to bed shortly after my answer.Fibonacci is right with TENOR.

Thanks both of you for 'tenor', the dictionary didn't give that meaning, I couldn't think of anything else but didn't know if it was right!
I'm not very good at computing, in fact have'nt tried this before.  Not too sure what to do?  If possible would like the answer to same question as Janbrix i.e. sunday express 27 down.  Thank you
