Question Author
Yes well done. now where's the tippex!

fergol.  I am so pleased  your doing the Times  T2 jumbo have been doing it for years and learn from it they also have this crossword on a Bank holiday easter, may, august next one will be boxing day. I always do in pencil and ink it when finished  had to laugh at your looking for tippex.

THE  TIMES  website is good they have competitions there  very good prizes worth entering. also give nice DVD  one this saturday. Good Luck and thanks for help with mail  I only started doing that puzzle a few weeks ago from seeing clues on this site which is interesting if get a start not good at cryptic, i will look to see if they sell Daily record as you mentioned its a scottish paper so maybe too far south but will look out for it ,thanks for help there's a nice little group of crossword solvers.

Question Author
Thanks pega for the the info. With regard to the daily record, it is readly available all over the country.I've seen it in Tesco and Asda and in medium sized newsagents. my local newsagent, literally next door, supplies mine. Incidentaly, I live in Manchester. With regards to your using pencil, there is a web site for creating your own blank grids but will not accommodate the jumbo sizes ones.ie, you can print off the mail & express grids but not the larger gk's. Go to www.crosswordweaver.com and give it a try. You don't have to buy the softwear, just keep it in demo mode. The good thing about this site is that we help each other no matter what ability or experience you have. Happy puzzling.
fergol   Thanks will look at site you suggest, and for daily record next week. Thought you might like to know The Independent  today has a puzzle book with a very good crossword and not due in till 26th. also a  free CD rom of grand master Sudoku  never bothered with this new fade but will have a look at it,
Question Author
