same as this http://metro.co.uk/2015/12/10/can-you-solve-gchqs-christmas-card-puzzle-5556166/ ? here's a larger picture of the grid https://metrouk2.files.wordpress.com/2015/12/grid-shading-puzzle.jpg?quality=80&strip=all&strip=all
I do not think that you are supposed to fill the gap. I believe this to be a sequence of snooker shots with the hyphen representing a foul shot after which yellow is a free ball. This would mean the "What comes after" refers to after the shot after the pink which would mean that the answer is probably red.
If all the reds had gone, then the answer would be yellow.
Rather convoluted but if have got Q1 right then you are getting into the man's/woman's mind.
Thank you issy and KeepItSharp, now I've got a theme for this question I'll really be able to work on it. Q1 was easy but I'm sure they'll get even more difficult as the section continues.
I have been barking up the wrong tree with this. If you ascribe the value of the ball in snooker you get pi. The blank is there because the number 9 cannot be represented this way.
Issy, you were right about the colours and pi.
I'm now on Q6 but can't persuade the website to accept the letter I am sure is right. It says try again so I've tried each letter in turn. It won't accept any letter. Has anyone else had this problem?
