Yes, it does say 6 letters and 4 !

I had an idea - how about "Dickie Bird" - anybody think its possible ? (Ruled, Time (bird) , etc. ?)

I think answer is Sultan Bird - sultan was a type of fowl and bird refers to prison time.

Was going along the lines of Sultan but I thought the answer had to be a person in power? Like the Bird for time, boleyn.

Yes, Sultan bird is a definite possibility, but I think the answer to Q63 is Sweet Sultan, and I don't think the compilers ever use an answer twice. Worth thinking about, though !!

Boleyn - Q37 - possibly "Solomon's Seal" ?  (Solo-mon- + anagram of sales ?)

Thanks for all suggestions re Q88 - but I think I'll go with "Tyrant bird", which is defined as a large American bird that characteristically catches insects on the wing !

dougglos  I agree with your TYRANT BIRD. My last clue to solve was No 82. I'd solved the anagram and guessed the correct answer (give or take which spelling to go with), but failed on the "middle name" link. I've just read your hint (below) on this question - Thanks!
