Good morning everyone - slowly winding down from a busy Easter break with luckily, very little traveling entailed but an awful lot of chocolate ...enough to see us till ...well next weekend anyway !!

Oh dear what happened in the links dept ??!!?? well very little actually,

The CLEVER CLOGS award goes to KETTLEDRUM who like Strix makes an art form of finding very obscure answers overdid herself and picked up 3 points for the only person to select White Wash and the ALMOST 1 score went to her partner in crime, STRIX for his Parthian Shot entry - the closest anyone came to matching Kate's !! nice work, the pair of you !!

All of the above meant The last Monday in the Month was nothing like the usual trawl and was over quite quickly, hence I was able to get back to the chokky eating ...thank heavens my gall bladder is a far distant memory !!

New month next week and a long one to boot, so I'll see you all next Saturday for the next round of fun and games .....till then ,stay safe, skz

Very sorry to hear Don Corleone is back in hospital...please give him our very best wishes for a speedy return to health ....I did wonder when there was no entry from him this week :)). Thanks for the update, cliffy, please keep us posted.

Wow! Points at last! It is, of course, my ambition to sweep the board with 4 unique answers, & it seems that I missed my best chance ever of getting 3 out of 4.
Maybe I should now change tactics,but it amuses me to try to come up with DIFERENT but not OBSCURE answers. Thank you Steff for putting up with my little idiosyncrasies all these years.
I hope your weather is nicer than this time last year. I arrived in Australia just before Easter & it almost never stopped raining for the whole month I was there.

My approach, as you know, is very similar to Kettledrum's. i.e. possible and logical (before posting I like to consider what KM's clue might be for my word) but unlikely.

As to Partian I had thought of putting "parting" but as it was the Partians who dreamt up the backwards shot as they left the field of action.

So thank you for my half-point for saving me from being all on my own in the FF clubhouse!
