Far be it from me to criticise crossword setters. I have no ability to solve cryptic crosswords or anagrams. Numbers are my forte.
However, having said that, I cannot understand how "Cattle point" can provide the solution "limousine". I'm sure the answer is obvious but it's not to me. Anyone care to enlighten me?
I wasn't getting at you Peasblossom and certainly wasnt being catty I was just puzzled as to why you were given the answer again and now see that is explained
I agree it appears odd if you don't do quiz sheets , there are many - straight GK ones, soundalikes, synonyms and cryptic plus of course picture ones - setters licence makes each one different and with experience you get the feel for each one.
Of course knowing what you are looking for helps , hence the title as here.
