If the she you are referring to is me smouse i wish you would stop being so catty. I don't ask for help very much and this was a simple mistake.

Far be it from me to criticise crossword setters. I have no ability to solve cryptic crosswords or anagrams. Numbers are my forte.

However, having said that, I cannot understand how "Cattle point" can provide the solution "limousine". I'm sure the answer is obvious but it's not to me. Anyone care to enlighten me?

NJ, it isn't a crossword so hence not the same set out as a crossword clue which has wordplay and definition.

Thanks for the explanations. I thought it was a crossword clue because of the stipulation of 9 letters. I must say it's an odd sort of question

I agree it appears odd if you don't do quiz sheets , there are many - straight GK ones, soundalikes, synonyms and cryptic plus of course picture ones - setters licence makes each one different and with experience you get the feel for each one.

Of course knowing what you are looking for helps , hence the title as here.
