hi, cannot settle on an answer for no. 29, ORIENTAL written over ORION, i asked earlier but nothing seems to fit properly, would appreciate any answers please

Been a lot of threads from others wanting help but not seen anyone ask this one. Perhaps you could help them and ask if they have that one

I think something like that was mentioned Donny, but of course Orion isn't a star.

yes, we had 'the star of the east' as an answer a few years back but then 'rigel' was the clue and it appeared on the right- hand side of the dingbat, in other words the 'eastern' side. there is nothing like that here thouigh, and like you point out mamyalynne orion is not a star but a constellation, that is why the answer takes a bit of working out, i have not got it yet, best to all

Probably irrelevant but Orion was a hunter.

Orion was also a hunter,I spent ages (like a lot of people) trying out both Star and hunter and still came up with nothing. I hope we get told the answer eventually.

i think we are all struggling with this one, the best i can come up with and have mentioned before as did dave is 'we three kings of orient are'. this is because orion does obviously contain 'orion's belt' which in turn has three stars known as the three kings which are 'wee' in comparison to rigel and then oriental would be 'of orient are'
the problem is that mike who sets this quiz always states that the top part of the dingbat, i.e. oriental in this case, should come first,so for my answer to be correct the dingbat should read 'orion' written 'oriental' which of course it doesn't, it's the other way round, unless someone can come up with another solution this is the answer i will be giving but i am not very confident unless mike has changed or relaxed his rules and i somehow doubt that.
