I thought Ibex was a goat rather than a deer but I agree it's wrong unless the clue said goat rather than city so forget that. If the clue meant river it could be IRIS. What did you settle on in the end please?

If you still haven't got it, to rule out the obvious answer Troy please can you tell us where the first I came from.

Hent may be right as it can mean sieze but I'm not sure if the tense is right.
