Act (a+ct)
Act
Question Author

All i could think of was act but i didn't know why now it makes sense thanks.

Any ideas on Decling music for a song ? 7 letters

Question Author
i meant: declining music for a song?

Hi Sarah - 'Court' is often abbreviated to 'ct', then precede with 'A'. Answer 'act' is 'of law'. How sure are you of 'E' and 'N' in the music clue?

Question Author

Not 100%

E from "hardened bunch" i thought SET.

N from "Charles I was an old woman" I thought CRONE

Thanks for act i like to totally understand an answer sometimes this Irish news crossword is quite twisted!!

Oddity, Set & Crone all look pretty likely. How are you doing with 'Invest Capital' ? Do you have any letters and do they connect to this 'Music' clue ?
. . . apologies for gremlins (oddity,set & crone)

B***** ampersand . . .(oddity, set, crone) !

Question Author

invest capital, perhaps?

7leters ?e?i?g?

I'm pretty sure these letters are right(probably not)

No connection to music clue

Question Author
what's going on with ampersand lol

Just answered it on your last post.

Could it be Savings if your E is wrong.

Val.

Question Author

the e comes from "some leavers reform" i thought SEVERAL.

I thought it might be sewings -invest capital perhaps

but don't know why, thinking of plants

'Several' looks 100%. Can you guarantee ' i ' + ' g ' ?

Question Author

I is from "spoils a signal gets in row" -ALIGNS

E from "general form of increase" -ENLARGE

What do you think of sewings for invest capital, perhaps and beating for the declining music for a song

Reckon answer must be 'Besiege'. You can besiege a capital and of course you can invest capital. Best I can offer !
Question Author

thanks

I will not know solutions until Saturday but i will post them then .

thanks for all the effort

In answer to your previous post, 'sewings' and 'beating' don't really stack up. Hang on for other members' suggestions. Regardz, ja
