Perhaps the most famous of all the unfinished, posthumously published novels, Charles Dickens’s The Mystery of Edwin Drood has confounded readers for over a century, after its author died before finishing the manuscript—or revealing the murderer’s identity.
I'm not sure whether this was ever resolved. The Mystery of Edwin Drood was published (not written) posthumously, as has been said, but doesn't contain a Ch.
Ha ha- as I type this Giles Brandreth has just said "what the Dickens..." on The One Show
There's a while yet, but mine might go in with a poem and a blank for that one.

Yes I've just watched that piece on Dickens too.
