A hoax wrongly declared this singer dead in August 2017.

I've googled this so many times. Tom Petty was prematurely declared dead in October shortly before he actually died but I can't find anything in August?

Thanks but the premature announcement was only a day or so before he actually died. I can't find any report of a hoax in August.

There was a report in July 2017 in O.K. Mag, ( I think), that a Google search had stated Tom Jones died in 1993 at the age of 52.
