Can anyone tell me the name for a person who collects spoons.

The first is a maker of spoons, the second is a spoon-holder, on the same lines as a 'creamer' is a receptacle for cream, and the third is an old-fashioned word for a type of lover. (A 'snogger' would probably be the modern British equivalent.)
'Koutalophile', the word I offered earlier, was one I just created for you from the appropriate Greek bits. As you say, it doesn't appear to exist out there in the wide world. That's why I suggested that such words are usually formed thus and that spoon-collectors would be so called. Perhaps the Americans do just use the word 'spooner', as you suggest.
