RING IN THE NEW YEAR QUIZ
The New Year is some time away now but thank you to all who returned their quizzes. You have added £ 120 to St Andrew’s Church Funds. I apologise for the delay but I went on holiday on the day after the CD!
The winners, drawn from lots of all correct responses are David Winfield of Staffordshire Jean Redsell in Kent and the Random Draw selected Lynne Roff of North Warwickshire.
First, as usual, some apologies. The amended Q40 did not reach everyone but I did not penalise those who did not receive it. I was expecting ‘Gringley’ as the answer to Q28. It is so close to the Lincs/ Notts border that I did not realise until too late that Q should have said Nottinghamshire. Many of you gave the right answer and I gave credit for those who searched Lincolnshire and came up with a response which fitted the rubric – usually Quadring.
I was expecting Lingering as the answer to Q41. I allowed Perduring which many of you gave [ after I had looked it up in the dictionary!]
Am finalising the next Quiz and will post soon.
